College Receptionist

Permanent, full-time role for professional, experienced Receptionist with Toowoomba-based Christian School. High level communication skills essential
A new opportunity currently exists for an experienced Receptionist to commence in a full-time, permanent position in a Toowoomba-based Christian College. 

A pivotal role to the school’s administration, the successful candidate’s primary responsibility is to manage the College reception area and main switchboard.

As the “Face of the College”, the College Receptionist’s key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Welcoming all visitors including parents, students, academic staff and members of the public
  • Directing telephone calls to the appropriate person, or taking messages, if required
  • Ordering stationery, consumables, staff room supplies, and teaching supplies
  • Managing administration emails
  • Processing and receipting payments made at Reception
  • Providing general administration support to senior staff members and teachers, as requested.

Applicants should possess the following skills and experience:

  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience working as a Receptionist or Office Administrator
  • An understanding of the philosophy of Christian education practiced in the school.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • A strong customer focus
  • High level attention to detail
  • Possess a current valid Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
