Molendinar based role, $85,000 + Super, proven experience in a sales estimating role, preferably within the construction or civil engineering industry
Our client, a national leader in the design, manufacture, and delivery of top-tier precast concrete products for commercial, civil, and residential projects, is seeking a full-time Sales Estimator and Tender Coordinator. This role is key in overseeing the estimating and quoting activities across their Queensland branches.
As a Sales Estimator and Tender Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all customer interactions meet the highest standards of service and precision. You will collaborate closely with the Sales Team, State Sales Manager, and Branch Managers to cultivate strong relationships with both new and existing customers. Additionally, you will manage tender requests and ensure a consistent, unified approach to all pricing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate sales estimates and quotes for the product range.
- Interpret construction plans and drawings to meet customer requirements.
- Collaborate with the Sales Team to ensure estimates are completed within required timelines.
- Manage and collate incoming tender requests across SE QLD, ensuring consistent and accurate pricing.
- Log and track tenders in BCI and provide monthly reports to the State Sales Manager.
- Support the Sales Team with administrative tasks and ensure efficient data recording.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in a sales estimating role, preferably within the Construction or Civil Engineering industries.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, plan interpretation, and compliance with industry standards.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency in software packages such as Pronto and Autocad, with strong MS Office skills.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of attention to detail.
Requirements:
- Valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
- Competent in the use of estimating software and reporting tools.
- Physical fitness to perform the duties required, including manual handling and site inspections.
- Ability to travel between sites as needed.
- Compliance with the client’s safety and environmental policies, including a zero-tolerance policy on drugs and alcohol.
