Our client, one of Australia’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of high-quality piping and fitting solutions are currently seeking a full-time, Tooling and Die Setter to join their growing team within their Toowoomba manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute tooling and die setting tasks according to the production schedule.
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Production, and Fabrication teams to improve machine changeover times and tooling efficiency.
- Review processes and recommend improvements to maintain and enhance tooling performance.
- Adhere to and promote best practice standards to meet quality objectives.
- Perform duties in line with budgetary guidelines and minimise consumable wastage.
- Assist in monthly stocktakes.
Required Experience and Knowledge:
- Certificate II in Engineering or relevant experience in die setting, tooling, injection moulding, extrusion, fabrication, and plastics manufacturing.
- High-Risk Work Licenses: Forklift, Dogging – DG, Bridge, and Gantry Crane – CB.
- Demonstrated capability in CMMS (MEX or equivalent).
- Experience with automation and industrial plant and equipment.
- Knowledge of extrusion, recycling, fabrication/assembly, and associated equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
