Known for its pastries, cakes, pies, sandwiches, chocolates, coffee, and tea, this café has received glowing reviews and attracts guests from across the state. It is one of the most acclaimed cafés in the Southern Downs region.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee, a flair for crafting delightful beverages, and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages with precision and flair.
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment to the highest standards.
- Provide outstanding customer service, taking orders and engaging with guests.
- Ensure all beverages meet quality standards and are made with attention to detail.
- Assist with daily operations in the patisserie and café, handling pastries, cakes, and other sweet treats.
- Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe and hygienic work environment.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team atmosphere.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a barista in a café or coffee shop setting.
- Proficiency in operating espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment.
- Strong knowledge of coffee and tea preparation, including latte art and specialty drinks.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build rapport with guests.
- Ability to work efficiently in a very fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

- A current RSA is essential.
