As an Estimator, you will play a key role in the sales process by providing accurate and timely estimates and tenders. Working closely with the Sales, Engineering, and Purchasing teams, your duties will include:
- Generate accurate estimates by conducting take-offs from plans and compiling data for Bill of Quantities (BOQ) to produce competitive and precise customer quotations.
- Provide vital back-end estimation support, allowing the sales team to focus on client relationships and engagement.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather all necessary information for accurate, timely pricing estimates that align with the PFIS Pricing Model.
- Evaluate project outcomes to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of future estimates.
- Play a key role in transitioning from current spreadsheet-based methods to a comprehensive estimating system, ensuring a seamless implementation.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 3+ years of estimating experience within the construction industry.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills are mandatory. Familiarity with a project estimating system is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- A solid understanding of cost estimation, construction materials, and methodologies is essential.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia.
- Valid Australian driver’s license.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol and medical test.
