Our client has been providing the highest standard of patient care for over 20 years. They offer services in family medicine, men’s health, women’s health, childhood vaccinations, Indigenous health, and chronic illness management and education.
An exciting opportunity has now become available for a part-time Medical Receptionists to join their team!!!
- 32 hours per week over 4 days, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Monday to Thursday)
The purpose of this role is to manage appointments, maintain records, and perform various tasks to ensure a smooth and efficiently functioning practice that provides an exceptional standard of care to our patients.
No prior experience is necessary; we are looking for candidates with good people skills, confidence with computers and phones, and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities:
- Open and close the practice.
- Greet patients and visitors courteously and efficiently.
- Manage telephone calls promptly and courteously.
- Schedule and manage patient appointments, both online and in person.
- Issue patient invoices/receipts and handle bulk bill claims as required.
- Enter and update patient details.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and digital correspondence.
- Maintain absolute privacy and confidentiality of patient and practice information.
- Keep the reception and waiting areas tidy and welcoming.
- Assist doctors and nurses with tasks such as making telephone calls and photocopying as requested.
- Actively participate in practice team meetings.
- Attend in-house training sessions and external courses when required.
- Undertake additional duties as directed by the practice manager and doctors.
- Comply with workplace health and safety principles, including infection control.
