HR Business Partner

$120,000 – $130,000 plus car allowance, superannuation, and bonuses, Millmerran, Queensland location!!
Our client is a key player in the energy industry, with a strong focus on innovation and sustainability. They are currently seeking a talented HR Business Partner to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact by aligning People & Culture strategy with business goals, while supporting the management team and employees.

Salary: $120,000 – $130,000 plus car allowance, superannuation, and bonuses.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week.
Location: The role is based in Millmerran, Queensland. A relocation package is available.

As the HR Business Partner, you will be instrumental in driving key HR strategies that support business growth. You will collaborate closely with both management and employees to cultivate a positive, high-performance culture, while overseeing essential people processes across the organisation.

This role combines both strategic and operational responsibilities, allowing you to work autonomously while reporting directly to the Director of Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the management team to implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Drive retention and attraction programs to build future capabilities.
  • Advise management on workforce opportunities, compensation, and benefits.
  • Support change management initiatives to promote a positive workplace culture.
  • Lead performance management, talent succession, and engagement processes to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Use workforce analytics to provide insights for workforce planning and development.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to deliver integrated solutions that enhance organizational capability.

To Be Successful, You Will Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in HR, with a focus on business partnering in generalist HR functions.
  • Experience in a similar heavy industry environment (e.g., mining, oil & gas, energy generation) where safety is critical.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • A strong understanding of HR practices, labour laws, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organisation.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • A proactive and strategic thinker with a passion for People and Culture.
