Technical Support Officer – Level 2

Experienced Level 2 Technical Support Officer needed for busy ICT company based in Toowoomba City. $75K – $85K + Super
Our client, an ICT services provider with multiple branches across Australia, is currently seeking a Level 2, Technical Support Officer for their Toowoomba location.

As the Technical Support Specialist, you will report to the Service Manager and play a crucial role in providing reactive and proactive resolution, as well as managing service requests for applications, software, hardware, and network systems, including user administration.

The successful candidate must possess exceptional communication skills, a strong customer service focus, and a genuine passion for IT problem-solving.

This role involves extensive travel, requiring availability for at least two weeks away per month.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answering support calls and assisting customers remotely
  • Providing timely incident resolution and service request management
  • Diagnosing and escalating service requests to relevant staff
  • Collaborating with internal support teams and external service providers
  • On-site customer visits for technical activities and projects
  • Logging, monitoring, and tracking service requests

Applicants must have experience in:

  • DHCP, DNS, Firewall, IP Networks
  • Point to Point and Access Points
  • Basic Routing and Microsoft 365 administration
  • Desktop and server troubleshooting
  • Basic third-party software troubleshooting
  • Active directory and group policy management
  • Switch and router configuration and deployment
  • Printer deployment and troubleshooting
  • Microsoft Azure environment troubleshooting
  • Clear and fluent communication skills

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Australia-wide customer onsite travel (averaging 2 weeks per month)

  • Microsoft certifications (Arranged by company)
  • SOPHOS certifications (Arranged by company)
