Weighbridge Operator needed in large Toowoomba Quarry! Great team with on-going support and training!!
Our client, a respected family-owned business running a successful quarry in Toowoomba, is seeking a full-time Weighbridge Operator to join their friendly and dedicated team!
Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with the possibility of overtime.
Salary: $65,000 – $70,000, depending on experience.
Location: Harlaxton.
The successful applicant will work autonomously and use their initiative to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Reliability, organisation, and the ability to manage multiple tasks are key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with general administrative duties, including cash handling procedures, answering two-way radios, and telephones as required
- Handle inquiries from customers via phone and email
- Data entry of orders received through phone, fax, or email
- Organise transport allocations and logistics
- Process material orders from customers
- Produce written and computerised reports as directed
- Operate a computerised weighbridge program
- Abide by all company policies, procedures, and processes
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and order validation
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and multitask effectively
- A friendly and positive customer service approach, with a can-do attitude
- Ability to understand and follow both verbal and written instructions
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- A flexible, dependable work ethic
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A current driver’s license and reliable transport
- At least 1-2 years of experience in an office or data entry role
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety (OH&S)
- Punctuality and reliability are essential
