IT Support Officer (Hope Valley)

Our client, a manufacturing organisation based in the Hope Valley area, is seeking an IT Support/Help Desk Officer for a full-time, permanent opportunity.

Reporting to the IT Manager, the IT Support/Help Desk Officer will be the first point of contact for all IT Helpdesk enquiries, and will be responsible for managing the enquiries to resolution.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Troubleshooting issues using remote support tools
  • Handling enquiries from users seeking technical assistance via telephone, email, and Teams
  • Liaising with external stakeholders including vendors, suppliers, and customers
  • Building and deploying IT desktops, printers and ancillary hardware and software
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware
  • Microsoft 365 user management, configuration and troubleshooting
  • IP network addressing and services
  • Other IT-related duties as required

Applicants for this role should possess the following skills, experience and qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Diploma in Information Technology or Networking
  • An understanding of networking technologies
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft products
  • The ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
  • HIgh-level interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently
