Our client, a local government department, is seeking Field Workers to join their Riverview Depot. In this role, you will be responsible for general labouring duties, including tree pruning, and removal of dead branches and chipping.
Position Title: Field Workers
Hourly Rate: $43.43
Depot Location: Riverview Depot
Work Hours: 6:00 am to 3.00 pm
Duration of Appointment: Immediate start for 8 weeks
Key Duties:
- General labouring within the Arboriculture teams
- Carry out tree maintenance, including tree pruning, and the removal of dead branches and chipping
- Adhere to all WHS policies, procedures, guidelines, and legislation
- Occasionally drive the crew truck
- Operate arboriculture machinery including woodchippers, elevated platforms and chainsaws
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in tree maintenance and pruning
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to WHS procedures
Mandatory Requirements:
- Pre-employment medical (including drug and alcohol screening)
- Construction Card (White Card)
- MR Licence
- Chainsaw ticket
