Service Desk Officer – Level 3 (Temporary)

Temporary role with Toowoomba-based Government organisation for a Service Desk Officer. Commence immediately for an initial 2 month period.
Our client, a Toowoomba-based Government agency based, is currently seeking a temporary Service Desk Officer – Level 3, to commence immediately for a short-term contract (an initial two month period).

The Help Desk Officer will be the first point of contact and initial point of resolution for technical requests for hardware, software and system services. 
Key responsibilities will include:

  • Handling internal requests for technical support
  • Logging problems, requests and questions
  • Analysing, assisting and resolving the incident or requests where possible
  • Providing information to enable problem resolution and/or escalating unresolved issues as appropriate
  • Administering stock levels of equipment, consumables and general hardware
  • Assisting in the installation and maintenance of software, hardware and network systems

Whilst applicants do not need to be degree qualified, they should be experienced in working in an IT environment, preferably in a Help Desk situation.  All candidates should have high level communication skills, and experience is supporting Windows Server 2008/2012, Windows 7/8, MS Office suite, Office 365 & MS Exchange, mobile devices and technologies, and virtualisation technologies.  Candidates must have strong analytical and problem solving skills, and demonstrated ability to perform computer troubleshooting.
